Our students have loved looking and learning about the fossils, coloring the maps, reading the books, and growing the grass! \r\nThe grass was a fun and simple project, and seeing how well, and how quickly it grew, really excited the kids! There were several conversations about how even though they were planted the same way and the same time, some grew taller/quicker than the others. It made for great conversations about sunlight & water and their effects on the plants' growth.\r\nWe planned the timing perfectly. We were wrapping up our life cycle unit when we planted the grass, so we also had caterpillars growing and changing in our classroom at the same time!\r\nThis has been a fun project, and I thank you for your generosity!!
