The MyIntent bracelets have intrigued my leadership students. Currently they are working on building consensus around eight to ten words which represent what being a member of our school community means. \r\n\r\nIn January, when we return to school, we will use the MyIntent materials to explore what being a leader means to each student. The first round of bracelets will be made by leadership students and their \"word\" will be the one that inspires them as a leader. \r\n\r\nThe next phase of our plan to use the MyIntent bracelets to inspire others in our school community, is presenting to members of the admin team and other adults in the building. Leadership students have developed a presentation to lead adults through the process of thinking intentionally about what they want the climate and culture of our school to be and then choosing their individual \"word\". Students will then make the personalized bracelets for adults as a reminder of what we are working together to accomplish. \r\n\r\nOur last phase will include student leaders visiting our advisory classes and using the MyIntent bracelets with students. The end goal is to motivate as many people in our community to be intentional about how they think about building climate and culture. Students will choose their \"word\" and the leadership team will create personalized bracelets for each student who participates. \r\n\r\nIt is definitely a joyful and inspiring journey to work with students in the context of a \"student led\" project such as this. Again, I am grateful for your support and belief in the power of these young people to make change in their world.","fullyFundedDate":1725979015189,"projectUrl":"project/whats-your-word-improving-climate-and/8520039/","projectTitle":"What's Your Word?
