My students want to learn how to wash, dry and fold their own clothes...as well as, other skills such as cooking and cleaning. Many of them are eager to assist in the classroom and help their families at home. A washer and dryer will help my students learn the skills needed to care for themselves to allow for future independent living. This will teach them responsibility, how to follow directions, and measuring/sorting skills. They will gain increased confidence and self-esteem by learning these skills. We will also be able to help other students that need laundry assistance at our school. We already have the perfect spot picked out for our new washer and dryer. Thank you for helping to make our wish come true!
