Let me count the ways these seat sacks have improved our classroom experience! First of all, thank you for believing in me and providing the funding for this project. The seat sacks have helped my students remember their communication folder so much better this year. The sacks are black, the folder is bright yellow. They notice when it's empty and go immediately back to their locker to retrieve it! Win-Win!\r\nAnd let me tell you...having a second place to put important things like library books instead of cramming them in their desks has been such a big help! We have not lost one library book this year! Did I mention how much easier it is to have students pass out important flyers and papers that must go home each day! My students see them in their seat sack and put them immediately into their communication folders! I am so thankful I no longer have a box divided into little spaces for this distribution job. It's so much better having a place for their mail right where they sit. No one pushes and shoves to get to their mail at the end of the day! \r\nMy last, and most favorite thing about these seat sacks is the little place to slide their name into a plastic sleeve on the back of the sack. This doubles as a name tag! No more sticky, torn up tags taped on their desk...which all teachers hate. \r\nTruly, this has been the best project I've received funding for in all my years of teaching. I'm not sure what took me so long. I can't thank you enough for helping me purchase these. They were also so inspired by the kindness of others and how people that didn't know helped them so much! They were engaged in writing thank you letters to show their appreciation! \r\n\r\nWe are using the gardening tools to grow our garden. We have started an after-school club where students can learn and garden! The tools have already helped us weed our garden and the donated seeds will be planted today. Students are so excited to participate and use all the equipment. They will be able to use what they learn as they get older. This will inspire students to think about sustainable ideas and have a way to put it into action! \r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity. We wouldn't have been able to accomplish our goal without you! I have not had ONE pair lose a microphone, ear pad or wire! This is an amazing outcome seeing that the headphones are used by Kinder-5th graders!\r\nOur students are required to spend a minimum of 30 minutes each school day working on Chromebook apps to encourage growth in reading and math. Their voices are recorded and the wear and tear on the school-issued headphones prompted me to write this grant request. These headphones may have seemed a bit expensive for children's use, but the USB connector has been well worth the cost. All of the headsets still have their connectors! \r\nYour constant and unwavering support of Donors Choose is such a blessing to all of us fellow educators. Again, their vocabulary is improving but best of all their ability to work together and share ideas. What started as a dream to create an inclusive, engaging space for students to connect through gaming has now become one of the most anticipated parts of the week for many of our 3rd–5th graders. The materials we received—from the PS5 controller and gaming monitor to LEGO sets, lighting, and even gamer-themed prizes—have transformed our club into a dynamic environment where students not only play, but learn, grow, and shine.\r\n\r\nThe impact has been immediate. Students who were once shy or hesitant to join extracurriculars now have a place where they feel seen and valued. They're collaborating over board games, cheering each other on during video game challenges, and celebrating good sportsmanship with visible pride. One student told me, \"This is the best part of my week. I wish Gaming Club was every day!\" Another has taken a special interest in the streaming microphone, sparking a new curiosity in broadcasting and digital storytelling.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, the club is helping students build confidence, communication skills, and strong friendships—especially for those who may not have access to these resources at home.
