What might've seemed like \"just\" stickers, affirmations, and small details turned out to be game-changers. Our kids walked into that space every day reminded that they mattered, that they were champions, and that they belonged. That confidence didn't stay in the locker room it spread through the hallways, the classrooms, and onto the field.\r\n\r\nThe results spoke for themselves. Our high school football team won more games than they had in over ten years, and our middle school team went on to win the Tulsa Public Schools championship. It wasn't just about wins; it was about students seeing themselves differently, believing they could rise, and then proving it.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in our kids. Your thoughtful contribution has made a tremendous impact on our program, and we are truly appreciative of your support.\r\n\r\nThanks to your donation, our students now have the opportunity to explore a medium that many would not otherwise have access to. Leatherworking is not only a valuable artistic skill, but also one that teaches patience, precision, craftsmanship, and the value of working with one's hands. Introducing this art form into our curriculum has already sparked creativity and excitement among our students, many of whom had never experienced this kind of hands-on learning before.\r\n\r\nThe variety and quality of the materials you provided—everything from leather hides and tools to needles, thread, and dyes—have allowed us to dive right into new projects with confidence. It is incredibly rare for a school art program to be equipped with such professional-grade supplies, and your generosity has made that possible for us. Because of your donation, we are now able to introduce students to techniques like tooling, stamping, stitching, and dyeing, giving them a new outlet to express themselves and take pride in their craftsmanship.\r\n\r\nOne of the most heartwarming things to witness has been the pride and joy in our students' eyes as they work on their projects. Some have already created wallets, keychains, and simple pouches, and they talk about wanting to continue learning this skill even outside of school. You've helped plant a seed of interest that could grow into a lifelong hobby—or even a future career path—for some of our students. More than that, you've helped show them that their creativity is valuable and worth investing in.\r\n\r\nIn a time when school budgets are often limited, and arts programs are too often underfunded, your donation has reminded us that there are people and organizations who believe in the power of the arts to change lives. Your support affirms that our work matters and that our students deserve access to diverse and meaningful learning experiences.\r\n\r\nWe will be sure to keep you updated on the projects and progress that result from your generosity. Photos, thank-you notes from students, and examples of their finished leatherwork will be on the way soon. Please know that your kindness has made a real difference in our classroom.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for your incredible generosity. As you know, this is my first year teaching. On my first day, I was stunned to see how empty my classroom looked. I felt extremely overwhelmed by the amount of items that I needed to supply to make my classroom feel like a real classroom. I did receive some help from a local non-profit that doles out donated items to teachers in Title 1 schools, but that initial stock of items was beginning to run really low when I found out this project was funded. My students' eyes basically popped out of their heads when they saw box after box of supplies being delivered. They couldn't believe that anonymous donors would give their own money so that they could have what they needed to learn. \r\nI wish I could say that my students were in need of fun, educational items, but it was really more like pencils and paper that we needed. As an English Language Arts teacher, I am seeing the negative effects of AI use in the classroom, and I have therefore made a conscious effort to do as many assignments as possible with pencil and paper. Unfortunately, with a roster of more than 220 students, that means a lot of consumable items that we go through in a week. \r\nI can't stress enough how relieving it is to come to work and not have to worry about providing the basic supplies my students need. The things I received like tissues, paper towels, snacks are used and appreciated daily.
