My students have entered high school and are excited about learning and, most of all, improving their reading skills! Our school is in a high poverty area and many of the students come from broken homes, single-parent home or are being raised by a grandparent. Our school is approximately 40% Hispanic, 35 % Caucasian , 20% African-American and 5% other. We have approximately 1,100 students.
