The students were very excited and curious about the things in the boxes that were delivered to our classroom. So naturally we had to unpack everything and had some off the cuff lessons over how each object related to parts of science. We had some major learning breakthroughs for several of my students. \r\n\r\nThe first day we received our Newton's Law of Motion Apparatus I showed the students how it worked. Several commentated that they now understood this law much more clearly. Since the arrival of our whiteboard, students have completed numerous assignments, corrected grammar mistakes, and have even modeled comprehension for their fellow classmates. Students complete bell work, follow directions, and view teacher examples all in the same space. We have even used it to do math problems during study hall! \r\n\r\n When the box was brought in, students were intrigued and very excited to help me put it together. With the help of some super strong and determined pupils, we were able to get the board set up the very day it came in. Now our microscopes are stored safely and in one place, which makes it much easier for students to get them out and put them away without worrying about damage. When the cabinets first arrived, students were quick to notice how much neater our science area looked. We have already used them during our cell observation activity, where students were able to find and set up their microscopes quickly, giving them more time to focus on their slides.
