Our students were excited to see the new adjustable batting tees and portable practice net because they knew these resources would give them more opportunities to hit and improve. We now create multiple hitting stations where students can work on stance, balance, bat control, hand placement, and proper swing mechanics.\r\nA particularly rewarding moment has been watching students make small adjustments and immediately see improvement in how consistently they make contact. With three batting tees available, fewer students are standing in line, and more students remain actively involved. The practice net safely contains balls, reduces time spent retrieving them, and allows students to complete many more quality repetitions during our limited practice and instructional time.\r\nOur next step is to continue developing each student's swing through targeted tee drills, partner feedback, and individual goals. Students will improve proper swing mechanics and provide immediate feedback.","fullyFundedDate":1787946539026,"projectUrl":"project/tee-up-success-building-stronger-src-so/10544271/","projectTitle":"Tee Up Success: Building Stronger SRC Softball & Baseball Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kaseca","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8827060_orig.jpg?crop=1825,1825,x1071,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753279237853","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-kaseca"},{"teacherId":8827060,"projectId":10477282,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping us build a safer, more functional strength and conditioning space at South Rock Creek School. Our students were excited when they first saw the new benches and immediately asked when they could use them. The equipment has allowed us to organize supervised fitness stations where students learn correct positioning, controlled movement, proper form, and responsible equipment use.\r\n\r\nOne especially meaningful moment was watching students encourage one another as they learned new exercises. Instead of focusing only on how much weight they could use, they began focusing on technique, effort, improvement, and safety. The benches allow more students to participate at the same time, reduce waiting, and help me modify exercises for different ages, abilities, and experience levels.\r\n\r\nNext, we will help students set individual fitness goals and track their progress in muscular strength, endurance, confidence, and exercise technique. We will continue teaching safe strength-training habits while emphasizing perseverance, responsibility, teamwork, and personal growth. Your generosity has given our students access to equipment that will benefit our physical education and athletic programs for years to come. Our students immediately noticed the new materials and were excited to see the colorful numbered floor markers, conversation ball, storytelling beanbags, welcome mats, and runners. One of our favorite moments was using the Toss 'N Talk ball during a movement and team-building activity. Students completed a physical challenge, responded to the prompt they received, and learned more about their classmates while staying active.\r\n\r\nThe numbered markers have made a tremendous difference in our daily routines. Students now know exactly where to report, stand, form teams, and begin station activities. This has reduced confusion and transition time, allowing us to devote more class time to movement and instruction. The entrance mats and runners have also helped us create a cleaner, safer, and more inviting space for our Pre-K through eighth-grade students.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using these resources during cooperative challenges, fitness stations, classroom discussions, and grade-level skill units. Students will practice communication, teamwork, responsible decision-making, and leadership while developing lifelong movement and wellness habits.
