We have taken time to read the books to gain information first. Next, we used the sticker books to work on collaboration and following directions. We took the seeds outside and each student chose four plants to get started. They have started sprouting and they really enjoying checking on them each day. This is teaching them patience and also hard work and persistence as they have to water daily. They will eventually take them home to plant into the ground. We also look forward to using the plant Legos to complete our project to set up as a reminder for our hard work. We are so grateful for the impact this had on our season. Our junior high and high school runners were able to stay energized and hydrated. \r\n\r\nWe were able to directly see the impact at each race we attended. Runners used their backpacks to carry supplies. Students ate the snacks before races to power up and after to replenish their energy. They used the water mix-ins to stay hydrated on hot race days. They were used most recently for our Christmas program this week. Several students felt the music on stage was too loud for them.
