These tools are more than just items; they are essential instruments that help our students settle their minds and bodies so they can return to their primary goal of learning.\r\n\r\nWe have been able to integrate a wonderful variety of tactile and visual tools into our daily routine, including: Visual & Sensory Lighting, Hands-On Regulation, students are actively using the Kinetic Sand, Liquid Motion Bubbler Timers, and Solar System Bubble POP fidgets to ground themselves when they feel overwhelmed.\r\n\r\nAlso popular with the creative students are sketch books, Mandalas for Kids coloring books, and Assorted Color Cardstock, our students are learning to express their feelings through art and journaling.\r\n\r\nIf they can step away and decompress, we can prevent meltdowns by providing tools and activities to help manage their feelings and actions. We want to promote lifelong coping and self-care skills.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has empowered my students to develop independence and resilience.
