These materials will help me to engage students in learning through games and short activities that will enable me to reach various types of students facing a myriad of educational barriers. My students have been transferred to my school due to lack of progress at their home schools and emotional and behavioral regulation difficulties that prevent them from being thriving members of the school community. By increasing their ability to regulate their emotions and behavior, I am hoping to remove some of the barriers that prevent them from being successful in their educational goals. I want to give students the skills and abilities to not only thrive in the communities around them, but also to create healthy, inclusive, sustainable, and safe communities. I have chosen materials that were developed from evidence-based practices to ensure the quality of the educational materials and their potential effectiveness to increase students' social-emotional skills.

About my class
