These materials and supplies that I am requesting will help organize and support small group, activity based learning with Special Education students. Due to space constraints, our classroom is quite small so organization is essential to promote the optimal learning atmosphere for a wide variety of student ages and abilities. Creating an environment that simulates learning along with hands-on materials is essential! A Special Education resource classroom needs to be engaging ( maps, globes, wipe & write boards, book bins) and one that inspires my students to ask questions and find a love for lifelong learning. We also need basic supplies, ( folders, colored pencils/ paper, calculators) to support the learning process. I want to have all the educational resources at their fingertips so they feel empowered and motivated to learn even when it is difficult. I want my students to feel that they have every educational advantage available to overcome their life and academic challenges!
