Your donations have provided my students with new learning materials. Many of the new learning materials will help students with fine motor and gross motor skills. My students absolutely love the basketball goal, spinning chair, and the bean bag tosses. We grew basil in all four classrooms. The growers were terrific; the largest one did not come with the grow bulbs, but we were able to order them. The largest planter grower was placed in the library, which had a significant impact on the entire school. The other four were placed in each of the four 2nd-grade classrooms. Each student had a turn caring for and watering the plants. They were able to help us transplant some into planters to continue growing over the summer, which are supposed to be placed in the lobby area for all to enjoy. Students who were in my classroom each took home a ziplock bag filled with fresh basil. Although I am no longer at Del City Elementary, thanks to one of the donors on this project, I was able to purchase two grow light planters that are identical to the ones I had in my previous classroom at my old school. This will help my new students experience the joy and benefits that my other students and I have had, and I will post pictures from last year's and this year's classes soon. Once again, thank you so much for all you do for our schools.","fullyFundedDate":1743618415729,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-garden/9146320/","projectTitle":"Classroom Garden","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kilgore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9014645_orig.jpg?crop=1617,1617,x70,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1683681386389","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9014645"},{"teacherId":1847356,"projectId":9011825,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generous donations. The kids are also working on math skills with them including adding and subtraction and of course number recognition.\r\nI am so thankful for each and every one of you who donated to our project.
