The Kindle Fires will be an amazing addition to our Math and Science curriculum. I intend to implement these Kindles during our Math Center rotations and at any other opportunity I see fit.
Howard Gardner stresses the "Multiple Intelligences." Using Kindles in our classroom will give those students who are Kinesthetic Learners (hands-on) the ability to manipulate through Math applications. The students will be able to create 3D objects, as opposed to building them with Popsicle sticks and Play-Doh. My Visual learners will have the ability to see the concept being applied in real world situations as opposed to pencil and paper.
My students that begin to struggle could use the Kindles as a tutoring service when tackling a new concept. The Kindles will also be used as enrichment tools for those surpassing the current concept. Overall, Kindles in my classroom will have a multitude of uses and I look forward to furthering my students' education with the use of them.
