I have students on different reading levels including nonreaders. Scholastic Storyworks and Time for Kids read the articles to my students enableing them to participate in the assignments. The articles come with questions and introduce unfamiliar vocabualry. My students are building the skills necessary to be successful in the educational setting and in the real world. \r\n\r\nMy students have all enjoyed the stories and love to see the pictures that accompany each article. We are a small classroom, but we have significant needs that cannot be addressed by tradtional means. We require special equipment to help complete our daily tasks. Your donation has given us a tool to help with independence. \r\n\r\nAn ipad will allow my students to complete many tasks they could not do before. One student is nonverbal and has limited movement abilities. This Ipad has given him the opportunity to communicate with his friends and teachers and has assisted him in completing written assignments. Work can also be uploaded into apps for the students to complete when writing is a challenge. There are so many ways this will help my students with independence.
