Many lessons have been amped up because we had more choices to experiment with. If you view the pictures you can see multiple students playing with the magnetic tiles that we got in. They tried to build castles, butterflies, trains, cottages, and so many random things that they thought of! It's been so great seeing their minds expand and try new things. We also got to implement a few supplies in a lesson about the battle of Yorktown. These students used crafts around the room to create and set up a staged battle of Yorktown. They even got the chance to guess and articulate how the battle would have gone down based off the layout numbers and stats. They guessed it spot on!! I truly don't think that lesson would have gone as smooth. Each morning we start with a stretch circle and the students themselves have named the rug the \"stretch circle rug\" we go there every time and it creates a space for them that is known. I appreciate the donations bringing light and life into the classroom! My room is beach theme med and when the kids, especially the girls, walked in and saw the turtle rug and decorations around the room they got giddy and explored to see each thing. I love watching the kids walk in and light up.
