I would say all of the Pre-K classrooms use the Motor Room on cold weather and rainy days to help the kiddos get their wiggles out. The students were SO excited to see new activities in our large motor room. It brought new excitement and new creative and imaginative play to that time of our day. \r\n\r\nIt was fun to hear the imagination of those using the tunnel. A lot of them turned it into a \"car wash\" and they were the cars. A lot of them asked to be timed to see how quickly they could move through the tunnel, and some found it as a more calming space and would lay on their backs and move through slowly absorbing all the sensory aspects of the tunnel. Another favorite was the floor scooters. It was interesting to see how each child chose to make their scooter move. Some on their belly with hands only, some trying with both hands and feet, while others sat and scooted or even dashed down the hallway using their momentum like a sled. We have loved all the items but those have been the biggest hit thus far.","fullyFundedDate":1735693843366,"projectUrl":"project/movement-matters/8615936/","projectTitle":"Movement Matters","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Cramer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6587607_orig.jpg?crop=1324,1324,x0,y70&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1581529312536","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6587607"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_120995","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1000,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":69,"percentAsian":19,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":30,"percentIndigenous":5,"percentLatinx":16,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":74.4,"schoolId":120995,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Jenks Northwest Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Jenks Northwest Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/oklahoma/jenks-public-schools/jenks-northwest-elementary-opens-fall-2017-/120995"}
