The students were excited to see what was in the Amazon box! When they seen the board games they were asking when they would get to play them. The Magnetic Building Toys have already been a big hit. The dice is being used for center work when needed. The dice is also a great manipulative in our math practice. \r\n\r\nMy students have been working very hard this year. It's not easy for some of them, but I applaud their effort in trying to be a good student! Right now I plan to pull the games out during our short weeks that we have this fall and winter. The chew necklaces were a big help to my student who has been chewing on his shirt. \r\n\r\nThe headphones were put right to use, along with the pencil sharpener. The kids were amazed at how quick and easy the sharpener made their pencils so sharp! The clasp envelopes help keep my centers organized and the kids are able to grab what they need quickly and put everything back easily.\r\n\r\nI want to thank you for the new resources that were sent to our classroom. I used them a lot when we did different stations on Friday's. The big kick/throwing target was probably the most popular one! When we did our Halloween carnival, I used all of the new equipment in some way. I turned the gym into a \"spooky Halloween class\" and had Halloween blow ups to make it more realistic. I also had the High School Leadership class help run the carnival, and they loved all of the new equipment as well. \r\n\r\nI teach PK-2nd Grade, so they were all SO excited when I showed them everything we had got and explained to them how we were going to use them. It is so nice to be able to provide new and special games for them. \r\n\r\nThe next steps for my PE class is to continue to use all of the equipment and games as we go throughout the year. I use the printer a lot to print different things for my bulletin board, and if I need to send notes home to parents. My students were so excited to get new headphones! We no longer have to worry about headphones breaking or the sound going out. The headphones allowed the students to be fully engaged during assignments on the computer. With this donation, each student is able to have their own pair of headphones. It allows the student to gain a sense of responsibility to keep track of their headphones. They no longer have to share headphones like we did before. I am so grateful to get these headphones!
