Physical environment is critical to reach children with severe profound disabilities. I want my students to interact with books to promote literacy. The bean bags, rug, and book display are needed to draw the children into an area to explore books. If you build it they will come. While I have lots of books for them to interact with, I lack the physical setup to encourage that interaction. It is important to draw them to an area and define for them what happens in that space. These products will help me to create it. Your donation assures it. Literacy is a life skill.
