We had to stop our lesson and open up boxes. The kids gasped and exclaimed and were so excited for every single item. They raised their hands eagerly to get first looks at the new books, and could not wait to open up a restaurant with the multicultural food and cookbooks. The supplies arrived in time for us to set eggs in the beginning of April. A few weeks later, after having journalled the growth of the chicks inside the eggs, we gazed in wonder as the first chicks peeped out of their eggs and took turns holding them. We added on to our classroom garden and planted the blackberries, flowers and seeds you donated.
