I strongly believe in letting young children keep their bodies active. This helps their brains stay fully engaged in their learning. My second graders need these tables to allow such a developmentally appropriate learning experience. My students need these tables to enhance our seating options in our classroom. I will let my students move to each table during centers and work time. For example, during our math rotations, there will be a game, independent practice, and journal at each table. This way, their bodies are moving and their brains are active! As they go to each table, they will have different activities to complete. Eventually, I will add more seating options at each of those tables. By having such a variety of seating options, my students will be more engaged and excited about their learning.
