Students are using this new resource during recess and other opportunities for physical activity, where they can participate in a fun, inclusive game that encourages teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship. It has been wonderful to see students cheering each other on, practicing fair play, and enjoying time together while building confidence and friendships.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the new Gaga Ball pit, their excitement was contagious! They were eager to explore the new space, learn how to play, and jump right into the action. The Gaga Ball pit quickly became a place where students could laugh, connect with their peers, and try something new. Seeing their enthusiasm reminded us how meaningful it is to provide students with engaging resources that make physical activity fun and give everyone an opportunity to feel included.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, our students will continue using the Gaga Ball pit to practice teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and good sportsmanship. As they play, they will have opportunities to learn how to follow rules, take turns, encourage one another, and handle both winning and losing graciously. We are so grateful to our donors for making this resource possible. Your generosity has given our students more than a place to play; it has created new opportunities for movement, connection, confidence, and community that will benefit them for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1787180095643,"projectUrl":"project/active-inclusive-fun-a-gaga-ball-pit-f/10201169/","projectTitle":"Active, Inclusive Fun: A Gaga Ball Pit for Every Student","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sable","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7766515_orig.jpg?crop=2060,2060,x147,y588&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1666394044869","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7766515"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_84861","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":300,"numTeachers":16,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":24,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":62,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"18.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":74.6,"schoolId":84861,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Stevan Dohanos Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Stevan Dohanos Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/lorain-city-school-district/lowell-elementary-school/84861"}
