They are the perfect fit for the music room and students are always overjoyed if they get to play them during an activity. Specifically, we have been celebrating the Olympics in specials classes this month, and we are using them for an Olympic \"rings\" movement activity. Students lay out a variety of hula hoops and plastic poly spots on the floor. One student is the mover conductor and hops from place to place. If they hop into a hula hoop, students with a tubano play once and if they tip-toe on a spot, students with rhythm sticks click once. \r\n\r\nThis is a great warmup that directly teaches quick reaction timing, leading a group through movement, and overall focus. Students love composing/creating different pathways and always volunteer to be a leader - they just love it!\r\n\r\nStudents have been overjoyed to use them over the past few weeks in music class. Our 5th grade Orff Ensemble has been using them for our upcoming performance at the District Arts Fair on Sunday May 3rd. We are using them with other instruments in an unpitched percussion piece to represent a flea that a wizard casts a spell on. You'll have to come see us at the Arts Fair to hear it all in person - it is going to be great!\r\n\r\nThanks again for your financial support - you changed some special lives this year!","fullyFundedDate":1768406879717,"projectUrl":"project/drumroll-please-no-we-really-want/9801265/","projectTitle":"Drumroll, Please...
