My students love coming to music class. Each day is a new experience to build off of the one before. Students love playing Orff instruments starting in 1st grade and beginning recorder in 5th grade, but I think playing ukulele would be an appropriate instrument for 3rd - 5th grade to experience as well. Many students love the guitar so this is the perfect instrument for little hands. This will provide opportunities to introduce solo singing and playing, accompanying others, and the basics of playing a string instrument. By donating to this project, not only will students gain valuable experiences that a new instrument will provide, but it will increase their overall musical appreciation and view of the art form as a whole. I look forward to seeing the impact that this new instrument will have on their elementary general music experience. Thank you in advance for your donations!
