Your thoughtfulness and kindness not only provided me with items for our treasure box, but also with items that will be used to help my students experience the joy of spreading kindness.\r\n\r\nThe peppermints have already come in handy during, as I like to pass these mints out to help students \"wake their brains\" during high stakes testing sessions. The stress balls and mini squishy figets are a big hit in our classroom treasure box. Students are able to earn treasure picks for hard work and great behavior. \r\n\r\nAs the school year continues, I will show the inspirational notepads, pens and mini mandala coloring books to the students. My class will pass these items out to staff memebers in our building randomly, for no other reason than to spread kindness and joy. Your generosity helped provide me with a supply of clean, warm socks that I can distribute to my students when needed. I also have hats and gloves that I will be able to pass out when it gets a bit colder here. \r\n\r\nA few weeks ago we had quite a rainstorm. Several students came into the classroom with wet feet. I was able to provide dry socks for my students so they didn't have to feel cold and/or uncomfortable, and they were better able to focus on learning. \r\n\r\nMy students also know that we have a supply of toothbrushes and toothpaste should they need these supplies. \r\n\r\nThank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness. We used the colored masking tape to create a check-in board. She is able to easily move the cart around and magnify what she needs to see. The scholars were able to take the supplies out into the field in Olympic National Park. They loved using the notebooks to write down there I notice, I wonder and it reminds me of activity. They got to sit down in an old growth forest and make many observations. Not only did we use the journals as nature journals but we used the, as diaries to write down all their favorite things from the trip.
