I have also been able to provide hungry students with a small snack when the school lunch is not enough to silence the hunger pains.\r\nStudents will be able to heal cracked lips with lip chap and grab a pencil and eraser on the way to class. Your small act of kindness goes a long way. I have been trying to impropriate flexible seating in my classroom for a year now. I started off small with only having two of my table in the classroom that had flexible seating. As time went on students began to get frustrated because not everyone in the class could participate in flexible seating at once. \r\n\r\nSince we have received our Donors Choose shipment, the students are excited and more eager to stay engaged while learning. They care more comfortable while learning instead of being student in a regular chair all day. This have given my students options throughout the day. We are also working on calm down techniques and our social emotional learning skills. Some scholars have been working on telling us what they need when over stimulated and a break in the sensory corner is one of them.
