The donations have enabled my students to have a snack midday, and parents who are unable to purchase supplies will not have to worry for the next few months. \r\nYour kindness has not only provided materials but also reminded my students that there are people who believe in their potential and care about their success. They were so excited when box after box was delivered to our classroom. \r\nAs a teacher, your support means encouragement, motivation, and a renewed sense of purpose. As you know, reading is the cornerstone of learning, and having a diverse, exciting, and updated collection of books is essential for inspiring young minds. Our classroom library is now bursting with new possibilities, and the students are already talking about the books they want to read first.\r\nWatching the children unbox these books was truly a highlight of the year! Their excitement was contagious as they immediately started exploring the new titles, from thrilling adventures and imaginative stories to fascinating facts about science and history. It's during this exploration that they discover they are readers, thinkers, and lifelong learners.\r\nThese books won't just sit on shelves; they will be well-loved and used every single day during silent reading time, collaborative group work, and research projects. Your kindness ensures that every child in our class has easy access to quality literature and the chance to develop a powerful, lifelong love of reading.\r\nThank you again for being such a supportive part of our educational community and for helping us put fantastic new books into the hands of eager young readers. My students and I are grateful for the supplies that support my teaching and their learning. As you might notice, many of the items have already been used in small group and whole group instruction.\r\n\r\nThe ten frames have been especially helpful during small groups for math. I prefer to teach the way my students learn. I understand the importance of providing hands-on experiences. When the students use the ten frames and the dry erase boards, they are able to manipulate the tools and correct any errors in the process. The dry erase markers with the eraser on the tip make it easy to store away. However, the erasers with the silly faces are fun to use.\r\n\r\nThe colorful carpet was a hit! Some of my lessons are taught on the carpet. Having a soft and Donors Choose colorful place to work makes learning more fun. Not to mention that the carpe is aesthetically pleasing and matches with the other learning decor in the classroom. \r\n\r\nI can't wait to use the Elkonin boxes and chips. They will be a great tool for sound spelling and mapping. The dry erase sleeves serve many purposes. We are currently using them for Phonics and Writing and to store templates for Math exploration. We have not yet used the green Nicky folders. I didn't realize that Second graders were assigned to use yellow folders. I plan to assign those folders to bell work.\r\n\r\nI hope that you will enjoy the photos of Ms. Ward's Second grade classroom at Noble Elementary School.\r\n\r\nThanks a bunch from Ms. Ward's Bunch!\r\n\r\nRhonda Ward, M.Ed.\r\nSecond Grade Teacher\r\nNoble Elementary School\r\nCleveland Heights-University Heights School District","fullyFundedDate":1731693317548,"projectUrl":"project/essential-tools-for-small-group/8704158/","projectTitle":"Essential Tools for Small Group","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ward","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9164560_orig.jpg?crop=799,799,x5,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743161529330","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/wardeduc8you"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_83688","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":413,"numTeachers":21,"percentFrplEligible":69,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":75,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"19.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":83.9,"schoolId":83688,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Noble Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Noble Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/cleveland-hts-univ-hts-city-sd/noble-elementary-school/83688"}
