The notebooks are a huge help with organizing work, personal anchor charts, and data notebooks. It has been a blessing to be able to create notebooks for my students that contain work for them at their level. This helps to make the worksheets feel more valuable than just busy work to them. They have created ABC books, math journals, progress monitoring journals, as well as prompting/anchor charts journals. It is also easy for me to take them apart when needed and add as we go. The chairs provide the postural support and boundaries they need to regulate their bodies, improve seated attention, and participate more successfully in learning tasks.\r\n\r\nWhen the chairs arrived, students were excited to try them and immediately noticed how secure and comfortable they felt. I observed improved ability to remain seated, follow directions, and sustain attention during OT-supported classroom activities.\r\n\r\nAs we continue working on early literacy, handwriting, and classroom participation skills, these chairs will remain an important support. Because of you, my students can better access their learning environment and demonstrate their true abilities. We use things like flexible seating and sensory tools during classwork and transitions. One day during reading time, a student used a wedge and mat to stayed focused the whole time, which doesn't usually happen.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were really excited and wanted to try everything. They liked having choices and quickly learned which tools helped them the most.\r\n\r\nNext, we're working on helping students recognize when they need a tool and choose it on their own. We're using the equipment during lessons about managing emotions and staying focused.
