I am the Occupational Therapist (OT) for this school, serving students with a wide range of needs including Multiple Disabilities, Autism, fine motor delays, and sensory processing challenges that interfere with their ability to fully access the educational environment. My role includes providing adaptations and modifications to support participation, such as specialized seating, noise-cancelling headphones, compression or weighted vests, chewy tools for oral seekers, and other individualized supports. In addition, I provide access to sensory-motor opportunities for all students through a dedicated sensory room. This structured, safe space allows students to engage in movement and calming activities, helping them return to class with a more organized body and mind, ready for learning.
