Every item that was donated—from flexible seating to organizational supplies—has made a meaningful impact on both the learning environment and my students' daily experience. The classroom now feels more welcoming, structured, and student-centered. Having these resources has allowed me to set up systems that help students take ownership of their learning, stay organized, and engage more deeply with their reading and writing tasks.\r\n\r\nThe positive impact is visible every day. Students now have access to materials they often don't bring from home—such as notebooks, folders, and writing tools—which ensures that everyone can participate fully without feeling left out. The added storage and organization tools have helped streamline routines, reduce lost instructional time, and create a calmer, more focused atmosphere. With fewer distractions and more access to resources, students are more confident and better equipped to succeed academically. I'm truly grateful for the support, which has helped set my students up for a strong and empowered school year.","fullyFundedDate":1731512715763,"projectUrl":"project/new-year-2024/8476198/","projectTitle":"New Year 2024","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Treharne","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9032970_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y504&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720959490895","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9032970"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_83571","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":590,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":81,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"18.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.4,"schoolId":83571,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Heskett Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Heskett Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/ohio/bedford-city-school-district/heskett-middle-school/83571"}
