Many of my students are still learning how to manage big feelings, and these tools provide them with a safe, engaging, and hands-on way to practice self-awareness and self-regulation.\r\n\r\nI have already seen a positive shift in my students' behavior and engagement. Students are also building vocabulary and fluency as they reread and engage more deeply with the text.\r\n\r\nHaving their own copy of a book written by one of their teachers has increased confidence and participation—students are excited to follow along, share their thinking, and truly see themselves as readers.
