Your generosity has given my students more than just a place to sit. It has given us a special space where we can come together as a class, learn, share, and make memories throughout the school year.\r\n\r\nAs a kindergarten teacher, some of my favorite moments happen when we are gathered together on the carpet. It is where we start our day, enjoy stories, share our thoughts, and learn how to be part of a classroom family. I love watching my students get excited about a story, raise their hands to share an idea, or turn to a friend to talk about something they have learned. These little moments may seem simple, but they are such an important part of helping young children grow in confidence and develop a love of learning.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw our new carpet, they were excited to have a special place where everyone could gather together. They are so proud of it that they love pointing it out whenever visitors enter our classroom! They eagerly show visitors their own spot on the carpet and tell them where their friends sit, too. The carpet has made our classroom feel warmer and more inviting, giving us a cozy place to gather and making our room feel a little more like home. I want my students to feel comfortable, welcome, and happy to be in our classroom, and our new carpet helps make that happen. It is a place where we learn together, share special moments, and build friendships every day.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and helping make our classroom an even more special place to learn and grow. Your generosity makes a difference in our everyday classroom experiences, from storytime and morning meetings to the little moments when my students share ideas and connect with their friends. This may seem like a simple or small thing. Some people may think it is simply for aesthetics or just something teachers should have. However, the reality is , a classroom rug is a tool for learning. A classroom rug helps create a warm, comforting, and inviting environment for all students. It is something that is shared, loved and appreciated by all students. Since receiving my classroom rug from the Donors Choose my students have sat and learned on it every day. They always want to do their centers, computer work, and learning on the rug. I conduct whole group lessons while the students sit on the rug, daily. This rug has provided these opportunities to all of my students. Upon first receiving the rug, the students were so excited about how much room they had. The look on the students faces when the rug came in was the look of pure joy and excitement. Even to this day they are still talking about how much they love it! In Kindergarten we are learning what personal space is and how to keep and give personal space. This rug has allowed us the opportunity to continue to grow and learn about personal space. This classroom rug has been very impactful to my classroom and my students.
