These simple but incredibly valuable tools have made such a difference in the way my students learn, practice, and participate in math.\r\n\r\nThe dry-erase boards have given every student a chance to actively participate instead of simply watching or listening. During our Roll & Write activities, students roll dice and use their boards to write numbers, solve addition and subtraction problems, or draw objects to represent their answers. When I say, \"Boards up!\", I can instantly see who understands the concept and who may need a little extra help.\r\n\r\nWe also use the boards for practicing numbers before and after. I can call out a number, and students quickly write the number that comes before and after it. This has been a fun way to build number sense while allowing me to check everyone's understanding at the same time.\r\n\r\nOur ten-frame activities have been especially helpful for developing early math skills. Students draw ten frames, show numbers, and find different ways to make a number. For example, when asked to show another way to make 7, students can experiment with different combinations and immediately erase and try again. This encourages them to take risks and learn from their mistakes without being afraid of getting an answer wrong.\r\n\r\nThe boards have also made learning about greater than, less than, and equal to much more interactive. Students write the correct symbol between two numbers and then explain their thinking. I can quickly scan the room and see every student's answer, giving me immediate feedback about who has mastered the skill and who needs additional practice.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these dry-erase boards have created a classroom where every child gets to think, solve, participate, and be heard. Students are more eager to share their answers because they know they can easily erase, try again, and keep learning. What may seem like a simple dry-erase board has become an important part of our daily learning and has helped turn math practice into an engaging, hands-on experience.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for investing in my students and our classroom. The excitement they feel when they see their creation come to life is something I wish every person who supported this project could see firsthand.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful parts of this project has been watching my older students create learning games for our younger students. They are designing with a purpose—not just making something because they can, but thinking about how their creations can help another child learn. They have become designers, problem-solvers, and even teachers.\r\n\r\nI have watched students become more confident as they work through challenges. When a design doesn't work, they don't simply give up. They make changes, try again, and learn from the process. They are discovering that mistakes are part of creating something great.\r\n\r\nWhat touches my heart the most is seeing our students begin to understand that their ideas have value. They are learning that they can create something that matters and that their creativity can positively impact someone else.\r\n\r\nBecause of the generosity of our donors, my computer classroom has become more than a place where students learn about technology.
