The students and I have really needed the Frixion pens for graphing transformations (we color code the pre-image and image so it is easily seen). We will use them throughout the semester to color code other work. The sheet protectors are invaluable for keeping notebooks organized. We've been in school now for almost four weeks and germs are everywhere! The Clorox wipes are used daily to wipe down desks, pencil sharpeners, door handles, and Chromebook keyboards to keep them as germ-free as possible. They come in handy. We are able to keep our classroom clean. Students will come in the classroom and will go straight to the cleaning wipes and wipe down their desks and I like knowing that they can do that. Having a clean work area makes them feel safe.\r\n\r\nThe tissue is also great to have. Without the tissue, we would be using toilet paper which is very rough. Thank you for the Kleenex.\r\n\r\nThe coloring pencils are also great. I like the way they are in the box. My students were eagerly awaiting our new microwave and hot meals. Several students have taken meals home while other students took advantage of having them while at school. (School social workers are providing meals while students are at home over our break.)\r\n\r\nThe Donors Choose community has provided many things for our classroom, but I think this is one of the most important projects I've ever had funded. Children can't learn if their basic needs aren't met, and you have made sure that students are ready to learn!
