The topics were main idea, cause and effect, reading informational text, vocabulary, making inferences, and a comprehension game. Each game had its own theme, such as a shopping mall, capture the flag, surfing vocabulary, and jewel quest. The themes for each skill and game really engaged their academic, but also their competitive side. I like to use this as an activity when just sitting and reading from a computer, paper, or book can get monotonous. It is a fun way to get the students excited about reading in the classroom. We also received dry-erase pocket sleeves, which we are using to display student work on our classroom bulletin board. They protect the student's papers from getting ripped or torn. The kids love to point out their work to their classmates. Thank you again for your generosity. Because of your generosity, my Pre-K students now have engaging dramatic play materials that are helping them build language, social skills, and confidence through hands-on learning. When the items arrived, my students were thrilled and couldn't wait to explore the new materials. Their excitement was immediate as they began pretending, talking, and working together in new ways.\r\n\r\nWe have already been using the resources daily during center time. Students are practicing communication, cooperation, and problem-solving as they take on real-life roles and create stories together. I have noticed students using more vocabulary, sharing ideas with peers, and strengthening fine motor skills as they interact with the materials. These tools have also been especially helpful for students who need extra support with social interaction and expressive language.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom dramatic play area has become an even more meaningful space for learning and growth. Many shared that the activities felt more like games than work, which helped lower stress around learning multiplication facts. I was able to break up the sets and give them out to 3 students instead of two. The bounce feet allow my students to wiggle in their seat and not disrupt those around them. I have a few who like to lean back in their chairs and this lets them do it safely since the feet of their chairs do not have to come off the ground for them to lean back. \r\n\r\nFinally the stickers and lollipops have been great incentives for them to continue to stay on task and get their work done. As a teacher, I see every day how essential these simple items are to the success, confidence, and organization of my students. Your kindness has made a meaningful difference in our classroom, and I want you to know how deeply appreciated your support truly is.\r\n\r\nIn many ways, school supplies are the quiet foundation of learning. A pencil is more than a writing tool—it is a student's voice on paper, a way to practice new skills, solve problems, and express ideas. Folders and binders help students learn responsibility and organization, allowing them to keep track of assignments, notes, and important papers. Sheet protectors preserve their hard work, while paper clips keep materials together and prevent important documents from being lost. These items may seem small, but together they create an environment where learning can happen smoothly and confidently.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students are able to begin and continue their school days prepared. There is a noticeable sense of relief and pride when a student has the supplies they need, especially for those who may otherwise go without. No child should feel anxious or left out because they do not have the basic tools required for school, and your donation helps ensure that this does not happen. You have helped remove a barrier to learning, allowing students to focus on what truly matters: growing academically, socially, and emotionally.\r\n\r\nYour support also impacts our classroom community as a whole. When students are prepared, lessons run more efficiently, transitions are smoother, and we can spend more time learning rather than worrying about missing materials. It allows me, as a teacher, to devote my energy to instruction, encouragement, and individual support rather than trying to find or replace supplies. This creates a more positive, productive, and welcoming classroom for everyone.\r\n\r\nBeyond the practical benefits, your donation sends a powerful message to our students—that their education matters and that people in their community care about their success. Knowing that others are willing to invest in them builds confidence and motivation. It teaches students the value of generosity, kindness, and community support, lessons that extend far beyond the classroom walls.\r\n\r\nOn a personal level, I am incredibly thankful for your thoughtfulness. Teaching is a profession driven by passion and care, and having partners like you makes the work even more meaningful. Your generosity reminds me that education is a shared effort, and that together we can create opportunities and brighter futures for our students.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your kindness, generosity, and belief in our students. Your contribution of school supplies has made a lasting impact, and it will continue to support learning every single day they are used. Please know that your support is not taken for granted and is remembered with sincere appreciation.","fullyFundedDate":1762267626810,"projectUrl":"project/basic-supplies/9511030/","projectTitle":"Basic Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Watford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/watford"},{"teacherId":4599516,"projectId":7429415,"letterContent":"The Ramped Up Read Aloud collection has allowed me to make a larger impact when I share literature with my class.
