It has eliminated the juggling act of students trying to carry lunch boxes through the halls, dropping them in Enhancement classes, or leaving them on the ground during recess. Now, everything travels neatly and safely together, making transitions quicker and far less stressful.\r\n\r\nThe automatic paper towel dispenser has been just as valuable. Before, my students often had to leave the classroom to dry their hands after using our sink, which interrupted our learning and took away from instructional time. Now, they can wash, dry, and get right back to work without missing a beat.\r\n\r\nThese two items may seem small, but the positive impact they've made in our classroom is huge. Thank you for investing in our classroom community and helping create a space where students can learn with fewer distractions and smoother transitions.","fullyFundedDate":1663628211581,"projectUrl":"project/tidy-and-timely-transitions/6826860/","projectTitle":"Tidy and Timely Transitions!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Godwin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2614652_orig.jpg?crop=635,635,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1605967337924","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/elizabeth-godwin"},{"teacherId":9573096,"projectId":8499690,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for helping fund my \"Stand Up and Stand Out\" project! My students were so excited when a new box came to my classroom. They were even more excited when I put together the standing desk, and they were able to see how it works! Their comments were, \"Mrs. Joyner that is so cool!, What it can move?!?\", When can we use it?, etc.\" \r\n\r\nTheir favorite thing to do is for me to adjust the desk to their height, so they can use it more efficiently to be \"the teacher\". Students have the choice of sitting in my chair or standing to present their work to the class. I will hook up my document camera, and they will use the desk to aid in displaying their work to their classmates. They love being able to lead the class in learning and the standing desk was a perfect way to help!\r\n\r\nThe desk has also played a very important role in organizing our classroom better. It makes stationing my computer, equity sticks, pointer, remotes, document camera, and curriculum books more efficient. My students know where things are located now, and we all benefit from an organized space leading to more efficient learning! \r\n\r\nThank you again for helping fund my project!
