Students were especially enthusiastic about the anxiety tools, eagerly exploring the fidgets, stress balls, and sensory supports that are now available when they need help managing big feelings. It was heartwarming to see students recognize that these resources were provided by people who care about their success and well-being.\r\n\r\nThese materials are making a difference every day. Students are using the anxiety tools during independent work, small-group instruction, and transition times to help them stay calm, focused, and engaged in learning. The cleaning supplies have helped us establish routines that promote responsibility while creating a healthier learning environment. The students were thrilled to receive their own personal water bottles, and having them available at each practice has helped our runners stay hydrated while also giving them a sense of ownership and pride in being part of the team. Something as simple as a personal water bottle made the experience feel even more special and helped build excitement for every practice.\r\n\r\nWe are also incredibly grateful for the team tent that will be used at our upcoming 5K race this month. The tent will provide our runners and families with a designated gathering space before and after the race, helping our team stay organized and connected. Most importantly, it allows our students to proudly represent their school alongside other participating schools.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our runners feel like they are part of something bigger than themselves. These books included picture books, graphic novels, short chapter books and chapter books. They are reaching students in all grade levels. I have processed the books and they are out on our display shelves. We started school in late August, and I can share that these books have already been checking out with our students!\r\n\r\nThe Pigeon books by Mo Willems and the No, David! books by David Shannon are two of our most popular series in the entire library. We have students from Kindergarten all the way through 5th graders who love to check these out. Having the additional copies is so wonderful!\r\n\r\nAlso, I wanted to share an anecdote story about the Bad Guys series. We have a number of students this year. One of our new 5th grade students asked about the Bad Guys series, and when he went through the ones that we have, he stopped at one of the new ones and said, \"Oh! I haven't seen this one yet!\" and he was so excited to check it out. The variety of linked activities have been of great help in preparation for the EOG test. They are designed to meet the multi ability and differentiated groups. The realistic and colorful graphics help students to get a great view of the featured locations or items. I was able to infuse these Social Studies concepts from the resources along with Reading. My students especially loved the article on the \"Ancient Egypt Come Alive\". This has led many to be motivated to read the Magic Tree House series that has a book on Egypt which I introduced to them. A student's surname appeared in a part of a title in an article which was a big highlight and motivation for them to read that article and have open discussion making self to text comparisons. \r\n\r\nIt was also heartwarming to know that someone from or community was willing to invest in our teaching and learning.
