We have used this book for multiple years now, in multiple grades. It has been a hit, no matter what grade we have read it in. We even went as far as buying more books so the entire grade level can read this novel. Even years later, the students still talk about it and mention that it was one of their favorite novels we read. This novel really hits home to students about being treated differently and makes them think about how they treat others. I am so thankful to have this resource to bring to many students now and in the future.","fullyFundedDate":1641323655001,"projectUrl":"project/reading-opens-doors-class-set-of-wishtr/6070988/","projectTitle":"Reading Opens Doors- Class Set of Wishtree","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Danza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2973437_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1512491195835","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-danza"},{"teacherId":304781,"projectId":9199858,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity in donating to our band's reed project. They learn to test out their own ideas, revise their designs, and see tangible results from their efforts, which builds a stronger sense of ownership in their learning.\r\n\r\nThese tools have also promoted collaboration and communication among students. Many of the projects require teamwork, so students naturally learn how to share ideas, divide tasks, and work through challenges together. This type of cooperative learning encourages them to listen to one another and practice leadership skills, which are just as important as the technical skills they develop. \r\n\r\nFinally, LEGO and other hands-on building resources have helped my students see the fun and exciting side of STEM. They get to experiment with engineering principles, test physics concepts, and apply math skills in ways that are interactive and engaging. This keeps them motivated and sparks curiosity about future STEM careers.","fullyFundedDate":1729188811706,"projectUrl":"project/building-our-way-through-stem-careers/8534574/","projectTitle":"Building Our Way Through STEM Careers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McLawhorn","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6261353_orig.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1550595592373","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/faith-sutton-mclawhorn"},{"teacherId":4344708,"projectId":6581693,"letterContent":"It has been a great pleasure to receive funding for the needed school supplies.
