This gift of a new Soprano Xylophone truly delighted my students as they first met during our first Music Class, yesterday. Our next Music Class will give my students their 1st opportunity to perform the steady beat & perform simply drones, melodic ostinati (repeated musical patterns), & improvized melodies on our new Soprano Xylophone & our other Xylophones & Marimba that have been donated to our school for my Music Class. Students will explore mallet performance techniques & will be able to perform a musical pattern & then travel to another Xylophone or Marimba as a new center-style experience as the class performs simultaneously the melody & they sing joyfully. \r\n\r\nThis newest Soprano Xylophone has provided my students the opportunity to perform simultaneously instead of having to wait in line for a chance to perform while others perform.
