Writing journals are the tremendous lift my students needed to jump start reaching their writing potential. My students write at least four days a week. Day by day we embark on a part of the chosen topic after a first day of brainstorming as a class. \r\nThe students store their writing materials in the seat organizers that were so generously donated by each of you. These interactive charts, which feature rows of bubbles that can be \"popped\" as students work through problems, provide a tactile and visual way for children to practice multiplication facts. The act of popping the bubbles not only makes learning more fun but also allows students to track their progress in a hands-on way, reinforcing the relationship between numbers and their products. This sensory interaction helps to turn a typically challenging subject into an enjoyable and motivating experience, which can lead to increased confidence and enthusiasm for math.\r\n\r\nBeyond simply adding a fun element to the classroom, Popit multiplication charts also support deeper learning. The visual layout of the chart allows students to easily see patterns and relationships between numbers, which can improve their ability to recall multiplication facts. As they pop the bubbles, they engage with the material more actively, leading to better retention and mastery of multiplication tables. This kinesthetic approach also caters to different learning styles, especially for students who benefit from physical activity or need more sensory input to stay engaged. By combining tactile interaction with repetition, the Popit charts foster a more interactive, inclusive, and effective learning environment, setting a strong foundation for future math concepts.","fullyFundedDate":1738178534973,"projectUrl":"project/multiplication-fun/8866832/","projectTitle":"Multiplication Fun!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Perkinson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8678373"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_2674","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":460,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":47,"percentWhite":24,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":20,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":63.8,"schoolId":2674,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Franklinton Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Franklinton Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/franklin-county-school-district/franklinton-elementary-school/2674"}
