Connecting my students reading and thinking abilities is an important task. This is highly possible through retelling of books as well as using their imaginations to express their thoughts when writing. My students are very excited to share ideas through written activities whether sharing newly learned vocabulary from books or personal experiences that connect to the stories that our class reads. These task can all be come easier and more beneficial with the necessary materials to complete writing and read integrated activities. My students are eager to learn and share knowledge through writing and illustrating their rapidly growing imaginations. My students develop such a love for reading and writing when we share our written task. The connection of vocabulary, reading and writing becomes so exciting when products are completed step by step. It is a great joy to see the students faces when a product is completed!
