When they first saw the new materials, they immediately started asking when they would get to use them. Having these supplies has given them more opportunities to experiment with different materials and focus on creating without having to worry about whether we have enough supplies to complete our projects.\r\n\r\nWe are currently using the supplies as students work on their first major projects of the year. My 6th graders are creating an Elements of Art project, my 7th graders are working on observation drawing through a Funko Pop project, and my 8th graders are creating playing cards that represent different emotions using color, line, shape, and symbols. It has been great seeing them take what we have learned and begin applying it to their own artwork.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue building on these skills as we move into new projects and explore different art styles, techniques, and materials throughout the year. These supplies will be used again and again by all of my classes.
