We already have a full set of original Labquests, but they are out of date with current software and need fairly constant maintenance. I am looking to begin updating our collection to the more advanced and versatile Labquest 2s. These devices allow the collection and graphing of scientific data both in and out of the classroom. The Labquest systems allow students to learn in intuitive, hands-on labs and activities. For example, I conduct a lab where we measure humidity with a wet and dry thermometer. Using regular thermometers is informative, but the Labquest allows the students to see a graph of the temperatures as they change. This allows them to see precisely why a dry and wet thermometer are used for humidity, namely to track evaporation of water from the wet thermometer.
