The stress balls, fidget toys, soft peppermints, sanitizing wipes, and tissues were met with wide eyes and big smiles from our students—many of whom immediately asked, \"Are these really for us?\"\r\n\r\nWe used these resources to support our students during their EOG (End-of-Grade) exams, and the difference they made was truly remarkable. The stress balls and fidget toys provided a quiet and calming outlet for nervous energy, helping students stay grounded and focused during testing. Many students said the soft peppermints gave them a refreshing boost just when they needed it most. The wipes and tissues helped us keep a clean and healthy classroom environment, which minimized distractions and allowed everyone to focus on doing their best.\r\n\r\nOne moment that stood out was just before our first big testing session. As students entered the room, they each received a \"test success kit\" made from your donations. The room instantly shifted from tense to calm, and many students shared that they felt more prepared and cared for because of the little comforts included.\r\n\r\nNow that testing season is over, we're continuing to use these tools during independent reading and writing time to support student focus and emotional regulation. As we transition into our next unit on reflection and goal-setting, students are using these items to stay calm and centered during journaling and class discussions.\r\n\r\nThank you again for believing in our students and creating a more focused, confident, and supported learning environment. Students were able to experiment with convection of liquids, build atoms with magnets, and learn about chemistry through a board game. \r\n\r\nFinally, we got a class set of books for the social studies classroom. These have given the students not only instructional reading that is more closely aligned to our standards, but also is delivered in a fun way. The calming strips have also made a huge difference, giving students a quiet way to manage stress and stay engaged in their work.\r\n\r\nWith these new resources, our classroom feels more organized and supportive. The privacy boards are helping students concentrate during independent work, and the Swiffer Sweeper is keeping our learning space clean and comfortable.
