This not only helped my students but their families too, not having to spend so much money on supplies at the beginning of the school year. First graders go through many pencils (don't ask me why or where they go) so this project allowed me to have extras when they were needed. \r\nI was able to create learning materials on my boards for students to see and learn from, and the posters are so encouraging and cute while staying with my cactus theme. The new pencil sharpener is great, I do not have to worry about my students sharpening a pencil too much. \r\nThank you again for starting my class off on a positive track!","fullyFundedDate":1754855213203,"projectUrl":"project/refill-for-first-grade/9386508/","projectTitle":"Refill for First Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pone","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3648211_orig.jpg?crop=396,396,x1525,y389&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1564442218362","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-pone"},{"teacherId":1636303,"projectId":8680548,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our class. The sensory toys have helped calm students, provide learning breaks, and release energy. In the morning, they come right in and know instantly where to go to get the things they need. \r\n The seat cushions have provided flexible seating and offers a more comfortable option than just sitting on the carpet. We use Band-Aids daily and having plenty is always helpful. It is also amazing what a small ice pack can do when little ones get hurt. Having the ice packs in my classroom refrigerator is very helpful, we do not have to go to the office for ice, unless it is a major injury. \r\nMy assistant and I were able to include the hats and gloves in our winter gift to our students. Each child was given a set to have during the break.
