The kids had such a great time with these materials reviewing for our end of grade test. The collaboration between the students was amazing and they had so much fun getting ready for the test. I am so thankful that this project got funded and the students were able to review with these materials. After we received our results, almost all of the grade level showed growth based on their scores from last year. I truly believe this review was a hit and provided a great review day for them. If students aren't writing they aren't \"doing\" math. 8th grade math has moved passed the time when kids can complete all the steps in their heads. Students use the edge of a white board or sheet of paper to scribble down their ideas so they can quickly move through the math. They also use the dry erase markers for stations and work collaboratively to problem solve. The pictures I've included are examples of stations that I created to review concepts using dry erase markers, magnets, velcro and matching.
