Since we have the materials we need for hands-on learning, we can also benefit from being able to work not only in groups but individually. We also can have more learning time instead of having to remake resources. This way we can have extra materials already on hand without having to wait on supplies. These supplies can also be used for mobile learning. We can move around the room or even around the school to learn instead of staying in one place.","fullyFundedDate":1746699601971,"projectUrl":"project/lets-do-it-again/9122682/","projectTitle":"Let's Do It Again","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McKinney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/231629"},{"teacherId":3647692,"projectId":9119524,"letterContent":"My students are learning about various creatures in the world and we are using the puppets to explore their characteristics and attributes. We do this through music and exploration of voices and movement in the music classroom. It is very exciting to see the students explore! \r\n\r\nThese kids are so dramatic and fun-- they flipped out over how big some of the puppets were! The frog was especially their favorite. We have a collection of frogs and they were excited to add to their classroom unit on frogs with this BIG GUY! \r\n\r\nOur next steps with these puppets is to turn the fun into a performance to share with their families and friends to show off their learning. Thank you so much for all you have done to impact our classroom with creative learning. These types of materials keep our students engaged and using their brains differently! Your donation has sparked our learning and for that we are grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1746786893946,"projectUrl":"project/puppet-pal-performance/9119524/","projectTitle":"Puppet Pal Performance","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. B.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3647692_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1466528209893","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msbriley"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_1691","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":211,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":89,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":69,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":22,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"6.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":55.7,"schoolId":1691,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about University Park Creative Arts on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"University Park Creative Arts","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/north-carolina/charlotte-mecklenburg-school-district/university-park-creative-arts/1691"}
