We were able to place small dinosaurs and scooping materials in the sand. It kept them busy and happy for long periods of time! It was the favorite center in our classroom for a many weeks!!! They have been very useful in the classroom. We were able to store our science projects and supplies. The students were very happy to be able to complete experiments. We were able to store the students' work so they did not spoil and rot. For example, the students used celery, water, and food coloring to see how plants absorb things from the soil. We discussed what they saw, and how we need to take care of our earth. If we did not have the storage we would not have been able to complete the activity. The class was also able to complete a chemical and physical change experiment using the microwave. The students had so much fun.
