In-home library's are an intricate piece to not only spark a love of reading but develop great early literacy skills. Most families in my classroom our more concerned where their next meal is coming from, not what book their child will read next. We need take home books to practice their reading skills and grow their nonexistent home libraries. This project will help to supply four appropriate leveled books to each students in my class. We are requesting books that will remain in the students' homes for years to come. My hope is that these books will be shared in the home with siblings, parents, and neighbors, to help spark the development of early literacy in our South Charlotte community.
