Because of the program, I was able to provide a snack for every single fifth-grade student to bring with them. Field trips are exciting, but they can also be long days, and having a snack available helped make sure our students could stay energized and enjoy the experience without having to worry about being hungry.\r\n\r\nWhat meant the most to me was knowing that every student was included. No one had to worry about bringing money or remembering a snack from home—everyone had something. Fueling 5th Grade Snack allowed us to take care of one small but important need so our students could focus on learning, exploring, and having a great day together. I am incredibly grateful for the support this program provides to our fifth graders.","fullyFundedDate":1789142292750,"projectUrl":"project/snack-attack-fueling-5th-grade/10547520/","projectTitle":"Snack Attack: Fueling 5th Grade!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Krantz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10539600"},{"teacherId":6174661,"projectId":9930614,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our project, \"Igniting Curiosity: Supplies for Our 6th Grade Science Club.\" Because of your generosity, my students now have access to hands-on materials that have truly transformed the way they experience science. When the supplies first arrived, the excitement in the room was immediate—students were amazed and couldn't wait to get started. Their curiosity was sparked right away, and they eagerly began exploring the materials, asking questions, and making connections.\r\n\r\nWe have already used these resources to dive into a variety of engaging, hands-on projects. Students were fascinated while dissecting owl pellets, carefully uncovering and identifying tiny bones to learn about food chains and ecosystems. They were thrilled to create \"elephant toothpaste,\" watching a chemical reaction rapidly expand before their eyes, and loved making lava lamps to explore density and chemical interactions in a fun, visual way. One of their favorite activities was extracting DNA from strawberries—an unforgettable moment where they could actually see the building blocks of life. Most recently, students worked on building velocity towers, experimenting with motion and speed while applying engineering and problem-solving skills. These experiences have brought science to life in ways that worksheets and textbooks simply cannot.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue building on these experiences by designing their own experiments and deepening their understanding through inquiry-based learning. They are becoming more confident in thinking like scientists—making predictions, testing ideas, and reflecting on their results. The excitement and engagement I see each week is a direct result of your generosity, and it is inspiring to watch their love of learning grow.","fullyFundedDate":1765644145867,"projectUrl":"project/igniting-curiosity-supplies-for-our-6th/9930614/","projectTitle":"Igniting Curiosity: Supplies for Our 6th Grade Science Club","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Salerno","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6174661_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755958272601","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6174661"},{"teacherId":6174661,"projectId":9639408,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our new Learning on Display: Chart Stand and Paper has quickly become a daily centerpiece in our classroom. Even my quieter learners were eager to come up, add vocabulary, and share their ideas.\r\n\r\nWe're now using the chart stand to build vocabulary lists, track reading comprehension skills, and create collaborative posters.
